Podcasts, Books and Sunny Days

Im sitting outside right now, I came home from work, showered and decided to try and finish the podcast episode on a really good book, but I can’t seem to finish it. Ive tried about six times to sit and write it out; it’s just not happening, so I thought sitting outside would maybe help; but thats not doing too much for writing, but it is making my mood feel lighter. Im in the middle of a ten-day stretch, and it’s not going as bad as it could go, but we have a big day at work coming up, so it’s been chaos to get everything together, and machinery is breaking down and causing stress for all involved. It’s also a monday, and no one wants to go to work on a monday, so the majority of the customers coming in are a wee bit grumpy and a lot impatient with us as we did our best with what we had going on. Ive read so many good books lately, and ive been trying to get the words out via podcast or blog post, but they aren’t cooperating, so im enjoying them alot; I dont have the words to share on those books.

I did a day with Timon, and we went to a bookstore (as is our usual when we hang out, haha), and we picked out our birthday/Christmas gifts for each other. In my pile, I had a few others on top of the two because they were doing a donation to support underfunded libraries and selling books wrapped with a short description; I ended up getting Agatha Christies Appointment With Death and The Girl on The Train by Paula Hawkins and they are well-loved, and the money went to libraries so it was money well spent. The books I ended up picking for Birthday/Christmas were Encore in Death by J.D Robb and Love Theoretically by Ali Hazelwood; so far, ive only read the agatha christie novel, but I plan on getting to one of them this weekend when im not working.

When I haven’t been physically reading, ive been listening to Second Foundation by Isacc Asimov and Eragon by Christopher Paolini, I thoroughly enjoyed second foundation and im enjoying listening to Eragon as it’s been a few years (10 or more) since ive read the series and I dont remember much about it being fully honest.  It doesn’t feel like it’s much, but listening to the stories is helping me to recharge my social batteries after work/socializing/etc., and I can enjoy reliving some of my favourite stories (Inkheart and more) while doing boring adult things.

I know some people dont enjoy reading, but I hope everyone can find something they enjoy reading/listening to and experience finding something that will pull you in, keep you guessing, and bring you an array of emotions while entertaining you. Thats all I have for today; I hope your day is lovely and your week is relaxing!

Till Next Time,

Meg
