I hurt myself doing yoga about two and a half weeks ago. I have been wearing a brace since then; however, it hasn’t been getting better, so I went to the urgent care here and did an x-ray, and it’s some torn ligaments. So im in a brand new brace thats much stiffer, but it’s comfy and doing some good for the wrist; I will keep using it for about 2-3 weeks, and im to do some physiotherapy for it too. I dont do heavy lifting outside of work; I tend to do more writing, crafting, and techy or go tech-free with drawing, reading, or something along those lines; I did start running cause even though I do a fair amount of walking, it’s not quite as much to get my stress to release, and it’s a little difficult to do yoga currently.
I ended up running into a friend with her dog while out running today; her dog is adorable and curled right into my leg for hugs and pets. they had a friend and another dog with them, so I gave the other dog cuddles, and they saw me again and came over for scratches before running past to head home for treats. I did take a break to deliver something I borrowed from someone, but I ran for about 35 minutes, and I didn’t hate it, which is big progress from the other times I’ve tried it.
I took the chance to look around the bookstore while out. I saw some things that looked interesting: JRR Tolkien The History of the Hobbit – John D.Ratelife, Let Me Be Frank by Tracy Dawson, The Splendor before the Dark -Margaret George, The book of Dreams – Nina George, The Little Village of Book Lovers – Nina George, The Witching Tide – Margaret Meyer, Galatea – Madeline Miller, and Clytmnestra – Constanza Casati.
Also, if you have Twitter or X, however you’d like to call it, is not always amazing, but a person on there who goes by @MeanestTA they are an absolute delight and makes my day so much better seeing them post.
