Im testing out a TikTok theory; it says if you play Hamilton, you write faster. So I will see by the end of the post. Im a theatre nerd. I love musicals, and so far, im really focused, and I love the album, so it’s something ive memorised and really enjoy.
Christmas looked a little different; it was spread over three days. I had dinner with one part of the fam on the first day, had a lovely breakfast before going to another house and spent time with another part of the family, then went to the final dinner, and it was all lovely, with good food, good memories and love all around. It’s a big time for family (for my family at least), and presents aren’t a big deal, it’s more who we are with that makes it a better experience all around.
My Poppy has been gone for almost a year, and my Uncle (his brother-in-law) passed about a month ago; it’s been a surprising last little bit. It was emotional the first dinner we had; it was the first one without Poppy. It felt a little strange but healing as we talked about everything and had many laughs. Wee man and I had some adventures in a graveyard, some unintentional sliding down the hill, and saw some cool graves. I stopped by a few family members’ stones, cleaned them up and told Wee Man about them a bit. Wee Man told me some stories, and we had a grand little adventure.
There’s something about graveyards that makes me feel like im not alone but in a good way. I made sure the stones from my family were extra clean as it’s been a bit since ive been, and im not sure when I will be back again.
I got some comfy clothes, bath stuff, crafting things and treats for Christmas, as well as a gift from my secret Santa (nail stuff, lip gloss and a chapters’ gift card), and it made me feel cozy and well-loved.
I hope your Christmas was lovely and full of love, and if you couldn’t be with your family, I hope you had a good time with something you enjoyed! Im off to read here i have a good book to finish and make a podcast on here (ive been a little busy the last few days).
Till Next Time,
Meg
