I craved cinnamon buns yesterday and figured I’d make some today. The first attempt was trying, but it just tasted of salt and was not that pleasant; the second attempt was a little easier as I used all the flour for the first one, so I used ready-to-go frozen dough. I decided to prep supper while it was thawing, and it turned out fantastic (rice noodle salad with homemade Italian dressing). The dough was finally good to go when it was finished. 

The second round turned out the rest, and I had more leftovers, so I made a mini cinnamon loaf; the house still smelled of the deliciousness, and I may have eaten four mini cinnamon buns to ensure they tasted good this time. I made a cinnamon glaze and left it on the side as I didn’t want to make it too sweet, but it pairs very well. 

Besides that, the only thing thats different is I moved! It’s a cozy place, a nice area, and it’s bigger and nicer than my last place. There is natural light, and comparing the two, the previous place was dingy and dark, whereas we have lots of light and bright here. The place was recently done; there are new appliances, counters, and everything. It’s half a house, so it has a yard and driveway, and it’s just so much nicer.

I already miss the neighbours from the last place, but it has been a good change; it’s been strange to wake up the last few days, I keep thinking im back where we were, and I was late for work until it hits me that ive moved and I dont work there anymore. I gave myself a week to get used to the place/use it as a vacation, apply for more jobs, unpack, scroll TikTok, bake, walk, and enjoy the views.  

The views are amazing, the water is close enough, it’s a nice walk down, and it has many nice spots to sit and enjoy the views. This place feels much more relaxing to be in, and overall, it’s just like a breath of fresh air; some things are still up in the air, but im going to enjoy the change. 

Ive been doing embroidery, yoga, cooking, reading and enjoying my mini vacation. I’m off to read; the latest In Death book came out, and it’s pretty good. I got it at a slight discount, so it’s an even better deal for my wallet.
