Ok, this may be a bit rambly, as I’m just letting it out as it comes into my head, and I will edit it after I get all the words out.
Podcast world:
I finally got into my Apple ID and got it set up. Hence, the podcast is available via Spotify, Google Podcasts, Apple podcasts, and Iheartradio Podcasts and im working towards the rest of the sites linked for optimal listening experiences and growth.
Music world:
I’ve been randomly listening to a lot of house, alt-rock, folk, and indie music lately, with some older country. I interviewed Years to Burn recently, and they introduced me to many local artists. I am excited to listen to what they suggested. I also found Matt Hansen today, and they have a lovely voice; I highly recommend listening to them!
Writing world:
Ive been writing shorter pieces, not full writing style prompts but one-sentence pieces and im working on connecting them so they are manageable and making a project from it; who knows what the future will hold? I’m looking forward to eventually getting it finished.
Crafting world:
Ive been embroidering alot; lately, ive started working on shirts and things I wear, experimenting and seeing how it goes and im like how it’s going, but I think im going to try like a tote bag as it is more like the fabric I enjoy working on. It can be protected on the backside over the shirts/sweaters and less pokey on the skin (it’s a me thing 100%). I need to stock up on some embroidery floss/thread (whichever it is, ive heard it both ways, and it’s the same thing).
Beyond that, ive found some authors I readded to my to-read list;
Christine Feehan
Johanna Lindsey
Lisa Kleypas
Julia Quinn
Bianca Marais
Bella Andre
Im expanding my reading styles to more digital, which feels less satisfying; however, it makes for a more compact and easier-to-carry library. My poor e-reader has about 200 books; my phone has at least 300 with playbooks and the various apps I have for reading.
A friend asked for some book recommendations, and I sent a few over as I needed to figure out what they liked, if there was a certain spice level they preferred or anything of the like, so im looking forward to what they choose first and what they think. I sent over one of my favourite book series (Naked In Death by J.D. Robb, first in the In Death series), and I think they may go with that, but I think they were a little overwhelmed at how much I sent and the variety, haha.
Mentally, ive been distant from alot of things; however, ive been doing more of the things I love to bring myself back to the present. It’s all tiny things, but they make such a massive difference in my overall life, and im enjoying living where I am cause I find the water so relaxing and resetting that I just need a little walk, and I feel 1000 times better.
I’ve named the little elephant I talk to when recording podcasts. Its name is Nelly, and it’s such a happy little thing. I talk to it even when not recording to bounce my ideas off of it; it’s conducive. I thought about making it a little cape as it’s my little writing superhero, but that may be weird.
I’ve been working towards making content while having fun and helping grow my audience with the podcast. Eventually, I will get a cozier chair to sit in and write in thats broader than the seat part with armrests, but I can sit curled up in many different ways. The chair I have now is comfy, but the seat part is a little funky, and you can only sit one way. That’s alright, but sitting only one way is hard.
This is very rambly, but it matches my mood today because I woke up early compared to the times I’ve been waking up in the last few weeks. I did a walk across town, walked back over, talked with some friends, did some recording for the podcast, cleaned a bit, and did some admin stuff for the blog and the podcast and im finding where I fit in.
…..
I started this yesterday, ive had four meetings since then, two of which were job interviews, and the rest were essential, and it has been a few days of trying to get some of the training done for one while waiting to hear back about the other. Im excited to see where my path will go, and im looking forward to the challenge ive set for myself.
Anywho, I have to finish some things here, but I wanted to get this done before going on to the next thing. I hope you’re having a lovely day, and I will see you soon with a new post.
Till Next Time,
Meg
