So im tired, but I need to get these words out.
I started a job today, and it’s one where im constantly moving, doing lots of cleaning and other various things; I only had one shift so far, but I like it already. When I was leaving today, some of the ladies stopped and asked me if I needed their sweater cause they found it cold and wanted to ensure I didn’t get cold on my way home. It was sweet, and im excited to see them next time I go in. The people were friendly, they all had funny jokes, and I found some excellent people.
I decided to read last night before bed to relax and distract myself from my nerves. I picked up Wind River Wrangler by Lindsay McKenna, which I needed. It’s a little cheesy, some grumpy x sunshine love, and it made me imagine the fields and meadows, so it was well worth the read. I also got The Long Weekend by Veronica Henry (a deal on used books) and have yet to start it; however, I may do it tomorrow after doing some boring adult things as a reward.
Im taking a stab in the dark with this change in careers; im is not as confident in this as I am in the other fields ive been in, but I will only get more confident the more I do it. Besides that, Ive been listening to Agatha Christie’s novel Neil Gaimans Norse Mythology, and I just restarted Scottish Myths and Legends: Celtic Myths and Legends Retold by Daniel Allison. Ive been wanting to listen to a new story, but the only ones I have in my library (on audible) are about myths, history, paganism, Sikhism, some YA Favorites of mine, dinosaurs, and pirates.
I listen to my comfort reads when im not sure what to listen to, and it’s something I dont hate. It’s starting to get boring, but I am still determining what direction to go with audio stories. Romance isn’t something I can listen to, but I can read. I love crime-related stuff, but I have yet to find a good story that doesn’t leave me with nightmares or creeped out by the dark. I can do the crime podcasts, but still need to find the right book.
Anywho, im off to sleep here; it has been a good day, and im planning a few things tomorrow, so I need some sleep.
Till Next Time,
Meg
