I’ve had a strange week, but it was a somewhat exciting weekend. I slept most of the day on Friday (catching up on sleep) and woke up entirely around 10 pm. It was a nice sleep, but I was wide awake. Everyone else was asleep, so I ended up finishing some stuff from the week ive been unable to do for a variety of reasons: a crocheting project, some laundry (folding and putting away), some minor cleaning and cleaning my mirror of the stickers left over from the previous person.
I finished my pot holder in a nice plum purple, and it’s ready to go when needed. I angered my hand, which still hurts like hell along my thumb-to-wrist connection. The laundry is all put away, and a fair amount of space has been cleared up here as it’s been a few days since I had the energy/time to put it towards some smaller things.
I started a new book, Telling Tales, by Ann Cleeves, and it’s a good listen so far; I’m enjoying the puzzle it is. It’s the second book in the series, and it is starting to show more of the characters and bridge some of the things you learn in the first book to the characters introduced there. I have a loose idea about reviewing the series in total, but I don’t know as I’ve only done that for shorter series so far; we will see what happens further.
I did a treat yourself coffee run as I wasn’t tired, and I knew I needed to move or I’d go nuts; I tried the tiramisu cold brew from Tim Hortons (it’s tasty) and went to a cute store that sells a variety of things and found a book ive been looking for to try a new project for the podcast and maybe here if I can figure out how it would all work; I just need to find the right date on a few books, and it will be a good start.
After that, we went to the aquarium, which was so much fun. We saw otters, turtles, sea anemones, crabs, sea cucumbers, and fish. We tried many really fun things, and I could spend the day there without boredom. There are multiple levels, and we spent three hours on one level. I’m excited to return, see what was missed, and learn new things. The main things that stuck out to me were the otters, Justin Beaver (the beaver) and the experiments and things you could do while keeping your hands busy while learning.
Ive been thinking of plans for the blog and trying to find a good time to get content figured out and scheduled, so im still working on it, but I have the right background noises to get me through the shenanigans between all of these things. Ive also been working on my drawing, and I actually got a face fairly close to the reference photo, and it turned out really nice! I do miss that person, and I have a collage of some of my favourite people, and it will be something I need to work on. I’m proud of how far it has come and look forward to what it will look like in the future.
I’ll be off now to do some side work on the blog, i will see you soon with a new post!
Till Next Time,
Meg
