What is your Talisman? What does it mean to you?
Triple Goddess.
I dont know why I was drawn to it, and I am still unsure sometimes; however, I feel more together somehow. Most places with info about it say it’s a mix of different things; however, they all say it means The Maiden, The Mother and The Crone.
The Maiden: The Waxing Moon is associated with the start of life, Adventure, Vibrancy, and Curiosity. It is also associated with Late winter and Spring.
The Mother: The Full Moon is full of ideas, Creativity, Strength, and Living a full life. It is associated with Lughnasadh (the start of harvest) and Mabon (Pagen Thanksgiving).
The Crone: Waning Moon – Knows Value of Living Authenticly, Reflection, and Contrast. Associated with Samhain (Summers End) and Yule (Winter Solstice)
Looking into it, they say that the triple goddess sign was typically seen through the male gaze and is seen as the female counterpart of the horned god. I’m not sure as I haven’t looked very far into it, but I will be, as I’m quite interested.
What it means to me is a sign of comfort and knowing that even if I can’t see it, it will be with me throughout my life and keep me company throughout what cards im being given or will be given. I read the first article linked below, and this quote stuck out to me: “ Looking forward is a good place to start, knowing that no matter what phase you are in, the Goddess stands with you.” As someone who doesn’t subscribe to a specific faith, I was surprised to see that and for me not to argue it; it makes me feel like im part of something while not entirely dealing with others in the way ive been shown/told one needs to show it (Catholic school).
The articles ive looked at are linked below if you’re interested, and I will see you soon with a new post!
