Its been a year of surprises, both good and bad. I found out that i dont have any food allergies and im working on figuring out if i have any sensitivites but so far i have added several things into my diet and i was thinking of writing about my adventures trying newer food and seeing how it goes.
Allergy tests are amazing and can completly change how you look at life. I personally went in thinking i hope its not as bad and i found out i have dermographism and the start of rosacea. It was a breath of fresh air, and i feel a brand new look on life and how i can get around and try new things. I still keep my epipen on me incase i need it but im more comfortable being in kitchens and not second guessing whether or not to risk it incase of cross-contamination.
I feel like a food scientist now, thinking of things i want to start adding in and how i can build up my bodys ability to handle certain food, so far whats been tried is; Peanuts, hazelnuts, coconut, milk, bananas, honey, and beans. I bought an avocado today, and im thinking of trying something else but not sure what else to add little bits of slowly. Either way i will experiment and im hoping to let others feel confident in trying new things even with the original thoughts/panic coming every so often.
