Therapy and Weekly Reset

Therapy and Weekly Reset

Mondays are the start of my week and  my days for therapy; for the most part I’ve been using them as a reset for the week. Doing laundry, cleaning the apartment, changing bedsheets, and such; it’s been nicer and I find myself relaxing more having the apartment more organized.

Therapy happens in the morning so I’ve been doing it first thing and thinking about what was talked about or something I learned about myself throughout the day; some days are more emotional and felt heavier or felt lighter afterwards. On the lighter days it’s easier to get up and do things. I tend to always do laundry on Monday partly to keep to a routine and partly because no matter what I feel like it’s something that has to be done and something to keep me busy.

I found my therapist through a free service and I have a set amount of sessions with them before finishing with them, and I have a few options on who to go to afterwards if I need more therapy. Im really enjoying therapy weirdly, its helping in more areas i didnt think were affected and im feeling more like myself which is lovely.

With my ADHD I do forget if i dont see something so I’ve been working on not having too much clutter so I don’t get overwhelmed. My desk has been holding some projects (kept them to the side) along with everything else I keep there and it’s been driving me nuts to look at the projects.

I can’t bring myself to do them so I’ve been debating having a basket in my bookshelf for things to do while bored which may make it easier to finish projects and clear up clutter. It would have to be clear and big enough to hold the little bits and bobs of supplies some of the projects use but it’s something I’m leaning towards currently.

With trying to be more active and building up my muscles Mondays have been my day to start Yoga, pilates or whatever exercise I’m trying. Jessica Valant has been added to the current rotation, she mixes pilates, yoga, weights and more into each workout; they go between 5 minutes to 30 minutes from what I’ve seen so far. Between Yoga with Adriene, Jessica Valant and the pilates DVD I feel like I’m going to be able to rotate a few things depending on the day and become stronger healthily.

Adriene is an actress, writer, international yoga teacher and entrepreneur from Austin, Texas. Jessica is a licensed physical therapist, Pilates teacher and women’s health expert with over 25 years of experience. I will have Jessica and Adriene linked below if you want to check them out.

Till Next Time,
