It’s made my job a wee bit more annoying in some aspects. We end up teaching some who are new to updated tech how to use it, we have to explain how to reach out to tech support if there’s an issue and in some cases they just hand us their phone and say can you do it for me, I can’t seem to get it to work.
At my old job, I taught a few people how to do things and they from what I understand are thriving and learning more and more. I enjoy teaching people if they truly want to learn, if they are rude about it and just getting angry with me when I’m trying it just makes for an all around frustrating experience and I will not want to deal with them.
Wanting to learn is important when it comes to technology, it’s always changing and it’s going to be hard to keep up with if you don’t open up and want to learn.
