I have had this going for about two weeks and I figured it would be good to finish today. It’s been an eventful two weeks give or take some days.
I found my CD collection and have been playing music from the late 90’s to 2015ish on the Xbox and it’s been so nice. I’m choosing them in a little bit of a silly way (eenie meenie miney mo) but it’s adding whimsy to the day.
I left my serving job, it was time for something new and something with more hours. I had an interview for a new job and have one training shift finished now; I’m liking it a lot.
Therapy has been going good, it’s coming to an end here soon and it’s been a good (and uncomfortable) experience overall.
I’ve finished my first round of golf for the year. I was 64 over but it was lots of fun! The golf course we both go to is nice and they don’t have a strict dress code so you can go golf in whatever you’d like; I tend to go wearing either a golf skirt or leggings and a t-shirt or the occasional golf tank with a collar.
We had two date night’s at a golf simulator (Next Golf Brockville, highly recommend it) and I’m much better than I was last year. I still don’t have a solid swing yet but I’m hitting straight and consistently at 30 to 40 yards give or take with the occasional longer hit. The last time I visited, my swing was looking more like a golf swing over a baseball swing which is good progress. We tried a higher end simulation system and it was a much better experience for us; we will be using it again.

Workout update – I’ve forgotten a few days to do Pilates however I’m fairly consistent and lost about 7lbs so far. I’ve added some seated weight lifting to get used to it and noticed my shoulders are significantly more relaxed than they were before. Yoga help’s my muscles warm up, the weight lifting happens maybe 3 times a week depending on how I’m feeling. I’m noticing my wrists have been more sensitive after golfing so I’m slowly building up the muscle and doing exercises to help strengthen them. I have popped ligaments in my wrist so I’m trying to be very careful to not cause any further injury.
My sunglasses came in, they slip on my frames and I love them. They are dusty pink and they match my frames perfectly, which wasn’t my exact intention but it worked out (i was thinking a darker pink) and I’m quite happy to have something to be able to see when its nice and sunny.
