Im working on not overthinking the negative and making it worse. I found a good way that works for me, it may not work for everyone but it can be adjusted to fit what works for others.
I find it helpful to imagine them as little balloons being popped, or like clouds over a cartoon persons head that get shooed away. When they are stuburn I question “why am I thinking …” and I think of more positive things in my life or that will be happening.
Its not always easy and some may try and stick but it does make them seem comical and less scary, and if all that fails I find Beef or Wayne and cuddle them a bit and I feel better!
