I’ve been watching lots of Beepwrld lately on YouTube, and im feeling a bit more inspired to use what i have and take in/upcycle some of my clothes that no longer fit or i dont feel super comfortable in.
I had a dress i wore a little bit bit didnt like how it fit me and i turned it into a fun peplum ish style top, its going to be more flared out i just started assembling the bottom half of the flare.

I love the print and i may add a little bit of lace or something to the bottom of the shirt in the end but im not too sure just yet!
Another one of my oversized shirts is now far too oversized so i decided to make it shorter (it fit more like a dress then a shirt in length). I put a scalloped edge on it and all that’s left is to sew the edge of it; im debating if i do a darker thread to match or add red thread to match the shirt design for added whimsy. I have a shorter torso so a cropped shirt tends to be a perfect fit for me. I dont have a picture of it but i will share it once its done, i also thought about adding something to the edge but i dont have anything at the moment so im going to leave it and keep that on the back burner.
Culling out the closet was fun today, there was a lot i haven’t worn in years, some pieces that haven’t fit for a while and i kept in-case and the in-case never happened yet. This year my goal is to be more closet conscious, and only keep what i will actually wear and what i feel comfortable in.
Styling clothes has never been my strong suit, i know what i like, i know what im comfy with but i have a hard time styling them in a way that isnt like im trying to hard. In my effort to find something light to watch/listen too i found Beepwrld and im really enjoying the style of the videos and the inspiration to try different styles, or have the courage to try to upcycle something i already own into something i would love more!
If you want to check out her YouTube channel i have it linked for you here (https://www.youtube.com/@beepwrld) and i will be off for the day to do some more sewing!
Till Next Time,
Meg
