Looking From The Otherside

Im sitting at work waiting for a friend to finish work. It’s a strange to be sitting on the other side and viewing it as someone who doesn’t work here. It made me think of the outside looking in; it applies to many things and situations.

Right now, im listening to my coworkers talk amongst themselves and randomly call my name in the way they do when im working, joking back and forth about things I missed today cause I was off. Hearing the sounds of the machines go off while I dont have to do anything for them is oddly soothing, and it’s a nice background noise cause im so used to hearing it I block it out.

In other ways, it made me think of window shopping. Being outside of a store and looking in to see the people doing whatever they are doing and coming up with a conversation for the situation. Which, in theory, could be applied to this as im just far enough away to easily come up with a conversation for whos behind the counter right now. Now, I can easily hear the baker; their voice is far-reaching, im wearing headphones that are noise cancelling and im easily able to pick up when she’s talking and figure out who she’s talking to while not looking over (based on what she says).

Im grateful for the chance to have met my coworkers, we may not see eye to eye at all times, but we support each other and make sure we have as much fun at work as possible. I think it was meant for me to be where I am today, and im happy to be looking in on what im usually involved with. I will see them a day from now (as im writing this) as im working then, but it’s nice to see them when im not in work mode.

Anywho, I’m not sure where to go from here, so I’m going to be off for the day, I hope yours is going well!

Till Next Time,

Meg
