I was having a bit of a rough day last week, so I decided to take it easy and relax while resting up. Netflix recommended it to me, so I put it on, it’s pretty good, a little cheesy, and I’ll definitely be watching it again and the next one if it comes out. I love Ryan Reynolds, Dwayne Johnson and Gal Gadot; they are excellent actors, and I have yet to watch a movie with either of them in it that I dont enjoy!
I love action movies cause it’s something I can put on and keep in the background while I clean or do whatever I need to get done. Now, this can backfire and getting sucked into what’s on does happen every once in a while, but it’s a relatively small number compared all in all. Some of the action movies made from 1995 to 2015 are my favourite for the most part, but I do like the newer style because they have more of a chaotic yet cheesy vibe.
My favourite action movies are (In No particular order):
The Old Guard
The Mechanic
Charlies Angels (2000)
Charlies Angels (2020)
6 Underground
Fast and Furious Series
Men In Black
300
Safe
Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn)
Sahara
John Wick (1-3)
Riddick
Mr & Mrs Smith
xXx (Return of Xander cage, state of union and xXx are my preferred ones)
White House down
Olympus Has Fallen
G.I. Joe: Retaliation
G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra
Hercules
Prince of Persia: The sands of time
Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters
The Legend of Hercules
Wrath of the Titans
Clash of the Titans
Snow White and the Huntsman
Parker
Angel has Fallen
Olympus has Fallen
Colombiana
Journey to the Center of the earth
Journey 2: The mysterious Island
They are amazing and can lighten up a day or give you sound and background when it’s too quiet where you are. You can do a fair amount of things when there’s a movie on, especially if you happen to have seen the movie or know enough of it; in a way, action movies can be mindless while being very entertaining and a welcome distraction/mini-vacation from whatever’s happening in your life.
Im off for the day; I hope you are having a lovely day and staying safe!
Till Next Time,
Meg
