Trying Something New

A few weeks ago, I just started writing a bunch of short stories. They are more paragraphs, really, but I thought id share them little by little, maybe do a few at the end of the month going forwards; I’ll see how this goes. Now for what this post is about; the stories!

Untitled Story 1;

Red. Red was all that could be seen on the ceiling, windows, walls, splashed all over the floor. If you walked into the room, you would assume there would have been a body nearby. Thankfully the tarp was down, and the room was being painted red otherwise, it would have been quite funny to explain to her dad if there were no tarps to protect the floors, windows and furniture. The ceiling may be something to anger but could be argued as an artistic choice over falling paint, as long as she kept everything else as it should be. The bucket fell as she was finishing the last wall for the most part, so it’s not going to be too much pain to use what paint is salvageable and hope dad won’t notice the ceiling.

Untitled Story 2;

“So cozy” was the first thought coming to her mind. Looking around at the sunlight room, the cat curled up at the end of the bed sunning themselves, the smell of coffee and fried bacon in the air wafting in from the kitchen. Hearing the sounds of whisking, flipping and setting the table, she sat up thinking, “today is going to be a good day”.

Neither of these has titles, nothing popped up yet, but ill edit the post once I have one. I have about six pages of short stories; some are a little longer, some vague; it was very nice to write them. I have to edit the rest of them, so im going to head off for the day; I hope you are having a lovely day and enjoying your weekend!

Till Next Time,

Meg
