I was at work earlier just doing my thing, and I saw a gentleman taking his wife’s arm as they walked to the car; he was helping her in and standing in front of her blocking the rain from hitting her till she was settled then going around and getting settled himself before heading out. Something about that was just so wholesome, and it just made my day seeing it; I see older couples waiting for their partner and doting, if you will, on them, and something about it just feels so delightful yet like it’s something I shouldn’t have seen if that makes sense.
It made the rainy weather (which I love) seem so much more delightful and is giving out some hope that that will be something in my future. It’s the perfect day for relaxing with a good book, putting on a movie and curling up on the couch, doing a puzzle, playing on the switch, or just sitting enjoying the sounds of the rain with a warm cup of tea/hot chocolate/coffee and relaxing.
Im on a fairly decent stretch for shifts, and im getting up earlier than I typically would for them, so im trying to take the time im off and use it to relax while also getting whatever needs doing done. So far, it’s been lovely, and im still getting used to the newer night routine, but it just takes time, and it will be much better in the future. I enjoy my time off, and I never knew what to do half the time because, well, I had hobbies and things, but I had so much I could do I just couldn’t choose one thing, so now that ive embraced the idea that having a variety doesn’t mean you have to do all its easier for me to choose and go with the flow and how im feeling.
As I’ve been sitting here writing up the post, the sky has changed from a beautiful mix of light and dark grey to light blue with cotton candy looking clouds floating by, and it’s a beautiful view. Im not sure I’ll go out now as I have some things to do before work tomorrow, but it would be perfect for a bike ride or a walk.
Ive lost track of where I was going to go with this post, so im going to head off for the day; I hope you’re having a wonderful day, and I will see you with a new post soon!
Till Next Time,
Meg
