So im sure you can tell I haven’t been as active here on the blog. I’ve been working a full-time job; it’s more physically and emotionally draining than my previous job (a quiet tech store in a small town). By the end of most of my shifts, my social battery is at 0%, depending on what happened at work, and after I finish, it could be 15 minutes or the rest of the evening to recharge. I think ive been able to get words out today cause I shut down when I got home; I got a drink of water and a snack, poured myself a bath, and sat there for 20 minutes to just let everything I kept in out. I mean, I still smell of caramel (hazard of work), but I feel rung out, and I can sit here and get the words out.
Ive been writing some posts up in my notebook, but I haven’t had the energy to type them up or im reading them back, and half of the post isn’t there/doesn’t make sense, im planning on using my days off to get some posts ready, so there’s content going out and maybe cheer you up if you’re having a rough day. Ive been reading the posts others are putting out, and they make my day, so I hope that getting some posts ready will bring a smile to those who read this!
So when I haven’t been able to get my words flowing, ive been running errands, cooking, cleaning, doing laundry, reading, doing some yoga and trying to meditate. I dyed my hair recently, and ive been looking up braids to try (i have to keep my hair tied back at work), and I remembered a few I used to do when working in the deli, and my hair is long enough to do some of them. My favourite one I remembered is Sansa Starks season 1 (half up and braided back with a twist and the rest down) with the rest pulled back (it’s like this here but modified); I did a lot of the simpler braided looks that the show had going for work in the deli. I still do them, but it’s a bit tricky to do some with shorter hair. My hair is a bit shorter than Arya Starks in Season 1, and im pretty happy with the length, so im going to keep it a little bit longer and adapt the braids I like from game of thrones. Im thinking of starting watching game of thrones again; I just dont want to get HBO, so im probably going to try to get the box set and play it on my laptop or something here.
Im going to explore more of the area while im not writing for the blog, so I will have more stories to share with you lovelies reading this and to get out and be more adventurous. Once I learn my comfort zone, I try to expand it as I dont want to get stuck just in the circle of work and home only, life’s too short for that, and while it can bring stories, it’s not the most healthy (there’s a better word but I can’t think of it as im writing this).
To sum up what ive been up to, im really just running errands, cooking, thinking of sleep, jotting thoughts down, reading and doing yoga really. Im boring sometimes, but it’s good for me at times, especially if im being more social or feeling like im having too much happening in a short time. I get annoyed at that part of me, but at the end of the day, it’s me, and as much as I find it annoying, I have to find a way to use what cards I was handed to my advantage and go from there.
I hope you’re having a wonderful day and enjoying some of the sunshine thats been out lately! I’ll see you again soon!
Till Next Time,
Meg
